Access to Education
The second pillar, education, is a key lever for socio-economic change. It is one of the most secure investments in the future. The benefits of improved education are manifold: they not only lead to rising incomes and higher economic performance, but also contribute to improved health standards and falling birth rates.
Our goal is to ensure access to primary and secondary education for all children and young people in the Ashanti region, especially for girls, who have often been disadvantaged up to now. Investments are worthwhile in all phases of education: in practice-oriented vocational training, they create prospects and promote entrepreneurship; in higher education, for example, they enable the training of qualified teachers who can meet the needs of the labor market; in secondary education, they lay the foundation for a broad educational spectrum that offers different opportunities for the development of individual skills; and last but not least, in primary education, with the aim of enabling all children to attend school. The educational program aims to enable the participants to develop their individual personalities and to shape their future according to their personal interests.
Ghana’s development opportunities are enormous. With our initiative, we hope to make a small but significant contribution to giving children and young people a better future.
