„If you want the new, you need to let go the old. Looking back however taught me to sharpen my view for what is ahead.”
In August 2024, I will retire and leave my business desk at a global sports brand. Even though I was a distance runner who is mostly lonely on runs, my entire journey through the sports business world was one big team effort. Now the time has come for searching new trails.
In reflecting my past 40+ years in the sports industry, I learned one thing in particular: By travelling globally, I developed deep mutual respect for other cultures and their needs. Realising we are facing huge challenges in other parts of the world. It encouraged me to support with focused initiatives. My former colleague Yaw Heiser was always an inspiration to me and my spark to support his vision and goals with WAY COACHING GHANA.
